Privacy Policy

1. Online privacy practices

Your right to privacy is important to us.

We are concerned to strike a fair balance between your personal privacy and ensuring you obtain full value from the internet and other products and services we may be able to market to you.

We are fully registered under the Data Protection Act 1998 (UK) and ensure we comply with all protection the Act affords to you. Further information on the Act is on the internet at www.informationcommissioner.gov.uk.

2. Our emails to you

In some areas of our website we ask you to provide information that will enable us to enhance your site visit or contact you after your visit. This would include where you register with our website. When you do so we ask you to give us your name, email address and other personal information that will be needed to supply our services to you. We may use your personal data for future email mailings, support, notification of new products or services and new Licensors, general correspondence regarding the products and services on our website and correspondence which may relate to you.

We divide our email communications to you into two categories: mandatory and elective:

Mandatory emails include confirmations of registration with our website, confirmations of changes to Personal Information given by registered users, changes to and purchases of Credits and/or Subscriptions, warnings about expiry of Credits and/or Subscriptions and changes to the Terms and Conditions applying to the use of our website. You cannot unsubscribe from receiving mandatory emails except if you no longer have any valid Credits nor any continuing Subscription, and you wish to be removed from our email lists entirely. If that is the case, then please inform us by email at privacy@manuscripteye.com.

Elective emails relate to information about changes to our website, the latest data to be added, and other information which we think you will find useful. You can decide on registration (and at any time afterwards) not to receive elective emails. All elective emails will contain instructions about how to unsubscribe.

Our emails (mandatory and elective) are only sent to people who are registered with our website.

We will endeavour to process any request to unsubscribe to emails as soon as we can, but this can take up to 30 days.

Such use is strictly in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 and the Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003. Except as provided below, your details will never be sent to any third party or group company of ours.

The information you provide will be kept confidential and will be used only to support your customer relationship with us. We will not disclose or sell your information outside our corporate group except if we sell the whole or part of our business.

3. Information that you provide to us

Making sure you can buy safely online is a priority for us and we have made strenuous efforts to ensure that our website security is one of our highest priorities and we have devoted a great deal of effort to ensure that our online security measures help to safeguard your information.

You should not include sensitive information such as personal details, passwords or credit card details in email messages to us, as these are not secure.

When you purchase Credits or a Subscription from us, you submit your card details directly to the website of RBS WorldPay, a secure on-line payment provider. No credit card or debit card details such as card numbers, validity dates, issue numbers or security codes are held or processed by our website or by us.

We hope that once you understand the measures we take to help ensure secure transactions and privacy, and the steps you can take yourself, you will be as happy about the safety of your online transaction and order information as we are.

We have no desire to infringe your privacy while using our site and we will never provide your personal information to anyone else except if we sell our business in whole or in part.
